Mizzi Studio have been engaged to refurbish and enlarge a house in Kentish Town, London to create the dream family home of statement and elegance. Inspiration included the dramatic gothic architecture of Cambridge where the clients first met. The design creates a new kitchen, living and dining “family room” as well as a mezzanine study.
A sustainability-focused CLT timber constructed extension creates an uplifting double height space above the breakfast diner with light flooding in between the vertical mullions of the King’s College Chapel inspired gothic-inspired rear facade.
